Two people were killed and 12 wounded in a shooting by Islamic State members in the Israeli city of Hadra on Sunday, according to reports.
Hadera is located 31 miles north of the capital, Tel Aviv, on the Mediterranean Sea on the western side of the country.

Both killed were border police officers.
The Jerusalem Post also reported that the killer had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, which was responsible for the attack, in a Facebook post before the attack.
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken immediately condemned the act of terrorism:

CNN reports“The two attackers who were shot and killed by Israeli police were from the Arab-majority Israeli city of Um Fahem in the northern region of Haifa. Agents fired on local police in Hadra, killing two people,” an Israeli police spokesman said. A passerby died. Police said the victim was a member of the border police force.”

More than one suspected ISIS attack
“Not long ago, two terrorists arrived on Herbert Samuel Street in Hadera and started shooting at local police. As a result of the shooting, two passersby were identified as dead,” the spokesman said. “A team of undercover agents at the scene sought contact and eliminated the terrorists after a brief shootout,” the spokesman added.
Earlier this week, an Arab-Israeli attacker stabbed four people to death in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba. A civilian shot and killed the attacker, who had been arrested in the past for supporting the Islamic State.
The Jerusalem Post also reported that while no one knew which Israeli Arab citizens were members of the Islamic State, Arab-Israeli leaders called the incidents “isolated” and said they had no popular support.
