The focus will be on bowlers from both sides who have the ability to overturn the outcome of the game on the day.
With the field generally favouring batsmen, with the average hovering around 170, bowlers in both units will be eliminated. The likes of Trent Boult, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal will gain some momentum.
Ahead of the highly anticipated clash, we try to predict the bowlers who are likely to get the most wickets in the game.
#1 Expect T Natarajan to start his IPL 2022 well
Tamil Nadu pacemaker after missing major part of IPL 2021 T Natarajan Will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad again in IPL 2022. He was bought back during the IPL 2022 auction and will be keen to repay management’s trust.
Natarajan has made a breakthrough in 2020, winning 16 wickets for Hyderabad and will spell trouble for Rajasthan’s batting unit. His ability to peg the Yorkers at any point in the game makes him a tough client.
#2 Trent Bolt
The Kiwi quick Trent Boult was RR’s third most expensive purchase at auction, and for good reason. No matter which team he plays for, he has been playing for wickets.
He ended IPL 2021 with 13 wickets for the Mumbai Indians. Last season, he had 25 scalps to his name. He will test a relatively flimsy SRH face with his swing and an accurate snorer.
#3 Youzvindra Chahal
The leg spinner can do more than make people laugh on social media with his funny antics and anecdotes. Chahal is a potent weapon for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), but will now wear blue and pink for the Royals.
Chahal comes into this edition with 18 wickets and is expected to bowl with Ravichandran Ashwin. His changes have fooled the best batsmen and Rajasthan hope he can continue to fool his way to wickets.
