Bruce Willis will no longer act after being diagnosed with aphasia, which affects areas of the brain that produce and process language, New York Times report.

In a statement, his family wrote: “To the amazing supporters of Bruce, as a family we would like to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia which is affecting his cognitive ability.”
“This has been a very challenging time for our family and we are so grateful for your continued love, compassion and support,” they wrote. “We’re going through this as a strong family unit and want to get his fans in because we know how much he means to you as you are to him.”
