Cummins played a huge role in KKR’s victory last game but was ruled out for the rest of the season with a hip injury. Aakash Chopra felt that maybe they could bolster their batting by replacing Cummins with Sam Billings and wicketkeeper Sheldon Jackson with bowlers like Shivam Mavi.
In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra talks about the problems KKR has had with the XI this season:
“There’s no Pat Cummins now. So who are they going to play? They’re in trouble right now. It’s been tough, they managed to pick an XI, but now they’re going to have questions about who’s on and who’s out. They can bring Sam Billings replaces Sheldon Jackson and picks Shivam Mavi in the bowling department. They don’t have many options.
Umran Malik to take two or more wickets against KKR: Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra expects SRH driver Umran Malik to have a good race against KKR. Shreyas Iyer and his men found a lack of advantage on the short ball, and Chopra believes Malik can exploit that weakness with his speed. He said:
“Umran Malik will pick two or more wickets. The team with the most dismissals on bodyguards is Kolkata. Even in the last game, they succumbed to Jaspurit Bumrah Short bowling. Umran has been average in the last few games, but he will do well.”
While this is a life-or-death encounter for KKR, SRH will also be desperate to win, as their loss will drastically reduce their chances of making the playoffs.
