Joe Biden was in Washington on Friday afternoon for a special U.S.-ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) summit before departing for another weekend break in Delaware.
Biden struggled with his remarks, at one point saying, “John Kerry has forgotten more about climate security than anyone I know.”
Biden also called Kamala Harris “President Harris” during meetings with Southeast Asian leaders.
Joe Biden has done this many times.
“A free and open, stable and prosperous, resilient and secure Indo-Pacific is what we are all looking for,” Biden said. “That’s why I asked President Harris to visit the region last August, and in October last year. At our virtual summit, I announced the reason for $100 million in support of plans to strengthen U.S.-ASEAN cooperation.”
