Arrested on behalf of Judy
Having watched the public hearings of the House Select Committee investigating the unrest in Congress, my understanding is that the protests that led to the arrests in Congress were actually the end of democracy as we know it.

This isn’t even the first time Congressman Judy Chu has been arrested.
She was arrested at the Capitol in 2017 during protests demanding pardons for illegal immigrants.
Chu boasted on social media beforehand that she was planning to be arrested at the Capitol, which could get you into trouble if you say the same thing as today’s conservatives.

Once an event, twice a pattern.
After being arrested at Thursday’s abortion protests, Zhu called for the filibuster to be repealed as a means to push abortion legislation through Congress.
“We are in this together, and we will not back down or be silent. I am stepping up my call to remove the Senate filibuster,” her statement read in part.
“Life is at stake and this fight is far from over,” she added.

Arrests are Democrats’ favorite pastime
If history is any indicator, this won’t be the last Democratic lawmaker to be arrested at the Capitol.
It seems that the representative was just yesterday Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), Hank Johnson (D-GA), Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) and Congressional Black Caucus Chair Joyce Beatty (D-OH) All Arrested at Capitol During Separate Protest Against ‘Vote’ right. “

In Beatty’s case, the congresswoman actually led a group of protesters into the Senate office building. Some — like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger — would call it a “scouting trip.”
Joyce Beatty, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, led a group of pro-voting protesters into Hart’s Senate office building Thursday afternoon, leading to her detention. https://t.co/GcITO9dvEI

The point is, as with four other Democrats detained for protesting “voting rights,” you can expect more arrests like Judy Chu’s, especially knowing that she’s calling for an end to the filibuster rejected Written by Democratic Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.
