Why look for alternatives?

What about the formula?
Commercially available infant formulas often list special additions or benefits on their labels, such as probiotics, omega-3s, eye health, and more. Meek said the differences in these formulas are small and have little impact on your baby’s health.
“Many claims about specific formulations are based more on marketing to consumers than on significant product differentiation,” she said. Head-to-head studies of infants who received the product showed little difference.
