Bianca Belair defends RAW Women’s Championship tonight at WWE SummerSlam Becky Lynch at Nissan Stadium.
EST defended last year’s SmackDown Women’s Championship with Lynch at SummerSlam 2021 and lost the title in 26 seconds. Although she won the RAW Women’s Championship from Ireland’s Lass Kicker at WrestleMania earlier this year, Belair looks set for revenge after the SummerSlam fiasco.
Bel Air took control of the game early and took the Big Time Becks out of the ring. Lynch countered with a drop leg at the barricade and went to cover, but the power went out at 2 a.m. EST. The former RAW Women’s Champion focused her attack on Belair’s arm in an attempt to undercut the champion held by her patented Dis-Arm-Her submission.
The action overflows the ring again, and the champion sends the challenger into the ring. Back in the ring, the champ connected with standing Moonsault, but couldn’t let Lynch go down for a three-pointer.
Near the end of the game, Lynch made another manual slam, but Bel Air countered a Spanish fly on the top rope. She followed with a KOD, a landslide victory.
Bianca Belair remains the RAW Women’s Champion.
After the match, Lynch came close to the RAW Women’s Championship in the ring. She held out her hand, the champion stared at her, then looked at the crowd, shouting, “No!”
As the championship theme sounded, Bel Air and Lynch embraced in the middle of the ring.
Bailey, Dakota Kay, and Io Shirai appeared on the entry ramp after the former champion dropped out of the ring.
It remains to be seen whether Bayley, Kai or Shirai will challenge Bianca Belair for the title in the next few weeks.
