new york yankees superstar Aaron Judge waits for Nos. 61 and 62 to continue
Aaron Judge hit his 60th homer of the year Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He’s a long way from tying Roger Maris’ longstanding American League record for most home runs in a season. He is currently tied with Babe Ruth’s 60 home runs. Judge is the third Yankees in history to reach this milestone.
Naturally, everyone’s attention was on the AL record, and fans eagerly awaited that historic moment. Judge has played four games without going deep since hitting No. 60.
Judges’ batting average dropped to .314 after tonight’s game as the Red Sox’s Xander Bogaerts went 2-for-4 to retake the AL lead at .315. Judge has a league-leading 128 RBIs to his name and is vying for MLB’s first triple crown since Miguel Cabrera in 2012.
