The terror attacked the North Carolina home of Republican congressional candidate Pat Harrigan, whose house was shot dead in the middle of the night by an unknown gunman (or gunmen), while Harrigan’s family, including two of his The children are all in the house.
The shooting took place on October 18, but was only recently discussed publicly by the family and reported by the media, and luckily no one was injured.family is Safe for nowbut the pressure is very high, especially since the election is only a few days away.
The incident brought new scrutiny to Harrigan’s Democratic opponent, state Sen. Jeff Jackson, who filmed an attack ad that included a Harrigan home. Harrigan appeared on Fox News and called on his opponent to issue a statement condemning the political violence, which thankfully did.
“We fully support law enforcement investigating this incident and believe any wrongdoing should be prosecuted to the fullest extent permitted by law,” Jackson’s campaign spokesman, Tommy Chromie, said in a statement to the press.
“Our Jackson team has taken down our ad with great caution and concern, but to be clear, the home involved in the incident has never appeared in any of our adverts.”
Jeff Jackson’s silence on his vile and dishonest campaign results is deafening, but not surprising. I called on him to condemn the violence and apologize for his lies, but he won’t. If he does, then he will have to start talking about inflation, economic collapse and rampant crime. pic.twitter.com/5pr1wqlGYF

Silence from the White House and the mainstream media
While Harrigan’s Democratic opponents have at least issued statements condemning the shooting, as of press time, neither President Joe Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris has condemned the political violence against the candidate and his family.

“@POTUS did not condemn the attack on Republican Congressional candidate Pat Harrigan,” tweeted the conservative Twitter account Libs of TikTok, which is popular on Twitter, “almost killed after a gunman opened fire on his home. After his children.” (It’s unclear if anyone nearly died, but a bullet fired at the family could have easily killed someone.)

RNC chairperson Ronna McDaniel also posted on her Twitter account to draw attention to the situation, which she also noted is not getting the attention it deserves.
“@PatHarriganNC wore a bulletproof vest to an event, received death threats, and is now shot in his home after shooting an ad outside his opponent’s home,” tweeted McDaniel.
“A bullet landed a few feet away from his sleeping child. Why is it so rarely reported in the media?”

For context, a bullet found by police investigating the house did break a window in the laundry room under the floor where the children were sleeping. daily mail It did confirm that out of an abundance of caution, Harrigan’s children have been moved to an undisclosed location out of state for their safety while the investigation continues.
Conservative online personality and defense attorney Marina Medvin did some quick digging herself to see if the usual mainstream media covered the story, or if they largely ignored it.The silence on this particular story comes as no surprise to many, especially since the liberal media are moms about murder In September, a man who claimed the teenager was a “Republican extremist” attacked a Republican teenager.
“Pat Harrigan, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, was shot at his home with his little girl not far from the ion bomb, and no MSM is reporting this story,” Medvin tweeted. “It’s all local. No CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, etc. — none of the big networks have covered it.”

Are their words meaningless?
While President Trump and Republicans have been blamed for the mass shootings from the Charlottesville riots to the Republican Party’s reign, Democrats seem to be able to shrug off situations where their rhetoric has led directly to violence and chaos, such as Antifa and The BLM riots cost billions of dollars during the 2020 pandemic and lockdown alone.
President Biden, in a last-minute attempt to push Democrats into the polls, gave another separate, chilling speech for the second time this year, targeting Trump supporters and conservatives, arguing that it was an attack on us An existential threat to the nation.
Biden has repeatedly called his opponents ‘MAGA Republicans’, even calling them Enemies of the state try “Elevate authoritarian leaders” and fan “the flames of political violence that threaten our individual rights, our pursuit of justice, the rule of law, and the very soul of this nation.”

Ironically, there is a global figure traveling across the country asking people to take their rhetoric down a notch, fearing that these types of divisive rhetoric could lead to the exact same situation Harrigan found himself in – former President Barack Obama Lake Obama.
in a recent activity Speaking for the Democratic nominee in Arizona, Obama said: “It’s clear that there is a growing habit of demonizing political opponents, just yelling and thinking that I not only disagree with someone, but think they are. Evil and wrong.”
“It created a dangerous atmosphere,” Obama continued. “When we have politicians and elected officials in leadership positions, and they continue to preach or downplay rhetoric, more people will be hurt.”
Did the Democrats in attendance and those who saw the speech later hear and think “Is he talking about us?” Still to be determined.
