WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley, aka Bully Ray, has given his take on Roman Reigns’ upcoming reigning champ.
Reigns will face off in the undisputed WWE Universal Championship on Saturday Logan Paul At Crown Jewel 2022. The tribal chief looked unstoppable coming into the game, and Paul appeared to be the underdog.
in a recent episode break in On the podcast, Bully Ray stated that the possibility that WWE booked the Reigns to lose their gold medal on November 5th is moot:
“There is no reason for Logan Paul to beat Roman Reigns. Absolutely not. Even shock value – zero [reasons to book the title change at Crown Jewel]. For me, mainstream media coverage is not enough to undermine Roman’s [streak] as a champion. “
Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship at the August 2020 Payback event. Since then, he has kept it for more than 790 days.
Additionally, the leader of The Bloodline has been the WWE Champion for 210 consecutive days and counting. The Reigns won the championship against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in April.
Bully Ray on how WWE should move Roman Reigns forward
According to Bully Ray, the clan chief’s long career as WWE’s top champion is currently “working well.” The Tag Team Saga wants it to continue unless the Challenger resonates with fans as effectively as Roman Reigns.
“If I were WWE, I’d look at it like Roman, ‘until someone could get over themselves (…) or until there was an idea to create a character like Roman, I’ would keep taking it Stay in Rome. Why not? Why can’t we just do a run year after year? Now, we run the risk of getting a little boring and people turning their backs on it. But the way they are now, it works well.”
