As the FIFA World Cup gets underway, several WWE Superstars show off their soccer skills.
WWE created its own version of the FIFA World Cup Championship on the blue brand. The winner of the SmackDown World Cup Tournament will have the opportunity to compete with Gunther For the Intercontinental Championship.
Braun Strowman Part of the game, probably already on Gunther’s mind. Last Friday, The Monster of All Monsters teamed up with The New Day to defeat Imperium in a six-man doubles match. New Day hit Ludwig Kaiser with Midnight Hour and landed on the cover. Gunther could have tried to break it, but retreated once Braun Strowman blocked his way.
As the World Cup heats up, WWE has uploaded a new video featuring several stars practicing their moves. Bobby Roode opted to slip and make a save instead of kicking the ball.
WWE legend says Bobby Roode is underrated
Bobby Roode hasn’t been on TV for a while. He announced in September that he underwent the medical procedure, and it was unclear when he would return. However, his involvement in the video above is an encouraging sign.
Speaking of kurt corner showWWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle says Bobby Rood is one of the top 10 wrestlers he’s ever worked with. Angle also claimed the company did not do what he asked.
“Bobby Roode is the most underrated wrestler out there. They don’t do the right thing by Bobby. He’s so talented. He, I have to say, to me, you know, me and thousands of people Worked together. Bobby is in my top 10. Definitely in my top 10,” Angle said. [H/T WrestlingInc]
Bobby’s tag team partner Dolph Ziggler was recently Austin theory on RAW. It will be interesting to see when The Glorious One returns to TV.
