On Survivor Series in 2017, Stephanie McMahon chose Kurt Angle as the captain of RAW. During the race, however, his own teammate Triple H gave the Olympic gold medalist a blood finisher.
After that, The Game did another lineage on Shane McMahon, leaving him and Strowman as the only two survivors on RAW. After Team RAW won the Survivor Series clash, the then “Monster Among Us” hit Triple H hard.
However, in a recent episode kurt corner showThe WWE Hall of Famer questioned the company’s creative waste of a potential feud between Braun Strowman and Triple H that could have blown the roof off with a “five-star” match.
“Screw me; that makes sense, but the Braun Strowman thing makes him look like an idiot. I think it would be great if they did a show together, and I think Triple H and Braun Strowman could have Put on some five-star games,” Angle said. [H/T – Wrestling Inc.]
Kurt Angle Calls Survivor Series “Trivial”
The Olympic gold medalist is considered the second longest running senior live event, Survivor Series, unimportantAngle, however, appreciates the WarGames angle under Triple H’s regime.
During the same talk, Angle compared the traditional long-running show to the 2022 Survivor Series WarGames event, which has an impeccable vision for the game.
“I think Survivor is probably the least important top four pay-per-view this year…it’s not that engaging. There’s no World Championship in that game. It’s just four-on-four. The WarGames match is from WCW , I think it’s a great idea. It’s a great stunt game, people love it, and you want to do something that people love,” Angle said. [H/T – Ringside News]
