Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense performed well in Sunday Night Football over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Eagles star completed only 16 passes for 153 yards, but rushed for 157 yards, a career high. Hurts’ 310 total yards and two touchdown passes were crucial in helping the Eagles beat the Packers 40-33.

After a lackluster performance in the Eagles’ 32-21 loss to the Washington Commanders, Hurts’ stellar performance helped him re-enter NFL MVP contention. He finished with just 175 passing yards and 28 rushing yards. The loss ended the Eagles’ perfect start to the season.
The Hawks were on the brink of losing Game 2 against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, but 14 points in the fourth quarter gave them a narrow 17-16 victory.
With the team on his back in the fourth quarter, he finished with 79 passing yards, 51 rushing yards and two touchdowns to close a 10-point gap with the Colts.

Hurts completed 18 of his 25 pass attempts for 190 yards passing and 86 rushing yards. He was directly responsible for two touchdowns, a pass and a rush in the fourth quarter.

Smith also said it was one of the best wins of Hertz’s young NFL career:

He also praised Hertz as a passer against the Colts:
“He had to throw the football. He was running all season. But he was able to lead the team to the win at the end of the game. That said he was a great leader. We knew he was a great runner. Even though he only had Six or seven incompletes, and they probably had ugly incompletes, but he still kicked the ball pretty accurately.”
Smith credited Hurts with leading the Eagles to the NFL’s best record and predicted they’ll finish the regular season on a strong note with a possible No. 1 seed in the NFC.
