Odell Beckham Jr. may end up signing with the Dallas Cowboys, an outcome that passer DeMarcus Lawrence favors. However, given everything that’s been going on, Lawrence doesn’t think his team needs to be in trouble right now.
The Cowboys are 8-3 and look like true Super Bowl contenders. For Lawrence, that’s what matters. It would be a nice addition if they signed Beckham, but he doesn’t think the team needs to be involved in what he calls a “circus”.
According to Jon Machota, Lawrence would like to sign Beckham but is currently unsure if the final cost will be worth it:
“It’s fair to say I’m trying to get to the Super Bowl. So if he can come and help us do that, yeah, I’ll take him. But if we just want to do ringside, it’s like, no, I won’t . I’m focused on this team.”
Beckham’s recent meeting with the team and the subsequent leak of his medical information may have contributed to Lawrence’s part feeling like a circus.
Many members of the team such as Micah Parsons, Dak Prescott, jerry jones Like everyone else, they’ve been going all out to sign Beckham, another facet of the circus.
After the meeting and the leaked personal information, it seems unlikely that Beckham will don the Cowboys uniform. Maybe that’s for the best, especially for DeMarcus Lawrence.
What are the chances of the Dallas Cowboys making it to the Super Bowl?
if they want Sign Odell Beckham Jr.the odds could move up a bit, especially if he’s healthy enough to contribute to an offense that needs a solid second wide receiver.
