Wrestle Kingdom 17 is a two-day pay-per-view wrestling event produced by the New Japan Pro-Wrestling promotion. It will be held at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo on January 4, 2023 and Yokohama Arena in Yokohama on January 21, 2023.
While Banks has been busy with various non-wrestling projects after stepping out during the recording of RAW, the 30-year-old was recently spotted training in the square in Mexico. This has led many to speculate that Boss will have her back in action soon.
A recent report from PWInsider further fueled the fire, claiming that Sasha Banks will be at NJPW’s biggest annual wrestling event. It’s unclear if Boss will be in the action, though.
Sasha Banks fights NJPW Women’s Champion Kairi Sane in October
Sasha Banks (Sasha Banks) is one of the most watched female stars of our time. The 30-year-old was last in action in May, when she and Naomi defended their women’s doubles title against Natalia and Shana Baszler.
The duo infamously withdrew from WWE days after the match due to a disagreement in the creative department over the direction of the women’s tag team division. They were suspended and stripped of the women’s title after the incident. While many expected them to return under Triple H’s reign, that wasn’t the case.
During her WWE hiatus, Banks to tease A match against current NJPW Women’s Champion KAIRI (formerly Kairi Sane). KAIRI will compete in a pay-per-view match at Wrestle Kingdom, where she will defend her coveted title against Tam Nakano.
Since Sasha Banks will also be in attendance at the event, fans are sure to hope that the two will finally have a showdown. However, at the time of writing, nothing has been confirmed.
