Meanwhile, international passengers are asked to arrive four hours before departure.
The airline also advises all passengers to carry only one piece of carry-on luggage for seamless security checks and to complete online check-in for faster boarding.
Air India tweeted: “Passengers are advised to arrive at least 3.5 hours before departure time for domestic flights and 4 hours before international flights for faster movement at the airport.”

Over the past week, Delhi Airport has experienced severe congestion with more passengers than usual. The government took immediate action and summoned the CEO of Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) over the issue.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation also ordered congestion relief measures and asked airlines to deploy sufficient manpower at all check-in counters and bag drop counters to ensure the smooth flow of passengers.
Earlier today, budget airlines IndiGo has advised passengers Arrive at the airport at least 3.5 hours before domestic flight departure with one piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 7kg.
IndiGo also advises its passengers to use Gates 5 and 6 to enter the airport’s Terminal 3 as they are closest to the airline’s check-in counters.
