Many Republicans believe the RNC needs new leadership after lackluster 2022 midterm election results.
In Texas, Republicans called on party leaders to replace Ronna McDaniel as RNC chair.
It’s entirely understandable that people would want such a change. Expectations are high for Republicans to do better in November.
Breitbart News Report:
Texas GOP calls for leadership to replace Ronna McDaniel as RNC chair
After a poor 2020 election result and a poor 2022 performance, the Texas Republican executive committee has unanimously called for new leadership in the National Party.
On Saturday, the state Republican Executive Committee (SREC) voted 62-0 to pass a resolution saying it had lost confidence in Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Rhona McDaniel, and voting members of the state must vote in 1 May voted to replace her.
“Under Chairman McDaniel, the Republican Party lost both houses of Congress and the White House, and will severely underperform in 2022, lose further in the Senate, and barely win a majority in the House of Representatives,” the resolution said.
The resolution acknowledges that SREC has “no confidence” in the RNC under McDaniel and hopes that the Texas GOP leadership, which will vote in January’s election, can pick a new party leader to address what happened under the current leadership. Defects” .
That doesn’t look good for McDaniel.
