Did you know that the far left New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now releasing a new documentary on climate change?
Do not? You are not alone.
The film opened in hundreds of theaters this weekend and is a smash at the box office. How embarrassing!
fox news Report:
Despite rave reviews from critics, AOC climate change documentary only earns $80 per theater
New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s new climate change documentary debuted in theaters over the weekend, taking in as much as $80 per theater.
Shot over four years, the new film, titled “To the End,” follows four young women, Cortez, activist Varshini Prakash, climate policy writer Rhiana Gunn-Wright and political strategist Alexandra Rojas, as they attempt to pass a comprehensive climate change legislation in Congress.
The film currently holds an 88% “Fresh” critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, with no audience ratings yet.
“Representative Ocasio-Cortez offers the best antidote to despair on screen — she’s funny and a shrewd political tactic,” writes The New York Times’ Teo Bugbee.
Nick Allen of RogertEbert.com wrote in his review: “To the End will ignite more Americans to take action.”
The documentary debuted on more than 120 screens over the weekend, but grossed less than $10,000 across all theaters, finishing at No. 33 overall.
Which is weird because Liberty Media keeps telling us what star AOC is.
I laughed out loud because the new @AOC The climate change film “What the hell” got rave reviews from the usual robot leftist Clarke, but still grossed a wretched $80 per theater. In multiple shows over multiple days, she sold about 8 tickets per theater. heavy bomb! pic.twitter.com/zpDWi1pfVj
