Rumors have just been circulating backstage that there won’t be a new Monday Night RAW episode airing on December 26th.
Monday Night is WWE’s flagship show and the longest-running television series in their history. Every year around the holidays, WWE hosts several holiday-themed matches to get fans in the festive spirit. These matches often involve Christmas-themed weapons and are fun to watch.
This year WWE had a miraculous 34 street fights last week. Reports indicate that WWE has pre-recorded this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown following last week’s episode. Fans are now starting to speculate if WWE will consider doing the same for its flagship show.
Fightful Select has now confirmed there will be no new episodes wwe December 26th. Instead, the best shows will be played. However, Fightful also reported that WWE talent will be working on the set.
A source inside the company confirmed to Fightful that they didn’t give any reason, but noted that it may have been to give the wrestlers extra time off. Another source confirmed that WWE Live Events will require far fewer personnel, and at times entire divisions will not have to work.
A top talent says it’s good to be on the first RAW of the year
Fightful further reported that from December 20th to December 28th, WWE will not be doing any televised tapings of the main lineup, allowing the talent some extended breaks.
A top talent pointed out that this is the entry John Cena’s Returns in the December 30th episode smack down And the first RAW of the year. The talent also mentioned that they have been compensated for work on December 26 and the following week.
WWE fans will be disappointed that they won’t be getting new episodes of the red brand. But it’s a good thing that WWE decided to give its talent time off during the holidays.
