India goalkeeper Dinesh Karthik picked Virat Kohli’s match-winning half-century in the 2022 T20 World Cup Super 12 match against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) as India’s standout performance in 2022. He also named Suryakumar Yadav as the best T20I player in the country this year, while picking Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer for Tests and ODIs respectively.
India capped off their 2022 cricket journey with victory by beating Bangladesh by three wickets in the second Test in Dhaka on Sunday, December 25. With a tight win, the visitors also won the two-game series 2-0.

“2022 is a very normal year for Indian cricket. Speaking of Test matches, we had a good chance in South Africa. We let it go. We had to play breathless in the second Test in Bangladesh.”
