Prices for these cars range from around 15,500 euros for the Canta Comfort to just over 23,000 euros for the Canta 2 Inrijwagen.
Older models of the Canta were petrol-powered, but the newest model is electric, in line with the municipal effort. Taking Amsterdam as an example, Aim to be a zero emission city by 2025. Micromobility can and must play an important role.
“When we look beyond the car, a vast space of mobility solutions becomes possible,” says Horace Dediu, an expert on the future of micromobility. “This means not only more efficient and less demanding alternatives for shorter trips, but also providing vehicles for those who are too young, too old or disabled.”
Dediu noted, “Eight billion people need mobility. Currently only one billion people can drive.” Everyone, he said, “will have access to micromobility services.”
