Dana White has been selected as one of the most influential business leaders of 2022.
Variety500 recently released its sixth edition of its list of 500 influential business executives. UFC President Dana White was one of those chosen. Jed I. Goodman, who made the discovery, tweeted the news, writing:
“Dana White and Ariel Emmanuel named to the 2022 Variety500, ‘the index of the 500 most influential business leaders shaping the global media industry’.”
Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel joined White on the list. Emanuel was instrumental in the partnership with the UFC and other major business transactions, including the acquisition of Open Bet. Another UFC partner appears on the Variety500 list. Goodman tweeted:
“Joe Rogan is also on this year’s list.”
Joe Rogan remains an important part of the UFC commentary team, but has achieved a lot outside of MMA as well. The Joe Rogan Experience podcast continues to have a global impact with millions of viewers.
White’s appearance on the Variety500 list is well deserved. The UFC president had a phenomenal year, leading top MMA promotions to a 25-fight sellout streak. UFC also hosted their first fight in France while opening facilities in Mexico and Africa. UFC commentator and president joins an elite group of business leaders on the Variety500 list.
Dwayne Johnson and Stephanie McMahon Add to 2022 Variety 500 List
The Variety500 list is a who’s who of successful business leaders. Dana White with Joe Rogan Representing the MMA community, but some other household names were also present. Some picks garnered special attention, including Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Bad Bunny and Tyler Perry.
Variety500 also selected three members of the professional wrestling world. Dwayne Johnson, a wrestler turned actor, was selected for his contributions to the film industry. WWE’s co-CEOs Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan made the list for their ability to continue to develop the number one professional wrestling promotion.
Meanwhile, White’s nomination provides more validation for his success as UFC president. The 2022 calendar year has had its ups and downs for the UFC, but mixed martial arts Overall growth continues apace, and the 53-year-old business leader is a big reason why.
