Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has been impressed with Bukayo Saka and claims the Arsenal starlet is already the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season. He further added that Manchester City’s Erling Haaland deserved the Player of the Season award.
Sacca opened the scoring for the Gunners within two minutes of away games at Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League. The 21-year-old has scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists so far this season.
The Gunners currently hold a 4-1 lead against Brighton. Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah also scored Mikel Arteta’s team.
Saka has been outstanding for Arsenal this season. So it’s understandable why he won Ferdinand’s plaudits. The legendary centre-back tweeted:
“#saka is already the PL Young Player of the Year…Give it to him ASAP…and give Haaland the senior award while you’re at it too!!”

Jamie Carragher snubs Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for Manager of the Year award
Jamie Carragher Snubbed Mikel Arteta in the selection of Manager of the Year candidates.although arsenal Having done wonders under Mikel Arteta this season, Carragher believes Eddie Howe has done better at Newcastle United.
The Magpies are currently third in the Premier League table. Here’s what Carragher wrote for The Daily Telegraph:
“Eddie Howe is the Premier League manager in 2022. The first phase of Newcastle United’s new era is a triumph of coaching, not the result of a financial revolution, and I don’t think any other manager has done a better job than Howe in the last 12 months. James Park.”
Eddie Howe on today’s draw at St James’ Park.
🗣 “We’re very disappointed we didn’t win the game – I think we deserved it,” Eddie Howe said of today’s draw at St James’ Park. https://t.co/vps1V1Lid2
He further added:
“If the club’s Saudi Arabian owners somehow lured Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp to the Northeast after the takeover, the team would not be in a better position. Newcastle’s available money has made a lot of money and will eventually put it Where clubs. It would be inaccurate and unfair to judge Howe’s early work through that lens.”
