The first episode of WWE RAW 2023 featured several big championship matches on the night. Seth Rollins challenges Austin Theory for the United States Championship in the show’s main event.
Bianca Belair and Alexa Bliss battle it out for the RAW Women’s Championship on the show. The game had an unexpected ending, with one of the superstars turning around at the end.
The Bloodline attempted to take control of RAW this week and showed dominance by kicking off the new year with two big wins. Plus, Dexter Lumis continues to build himself on the show by winning his match against Chad Gable.

#5. Bloodline gets WWE RAW off to a strong start
WWE RAW with the blood Already on the field. The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn stated that they are taking over the show and continue to spoil the scene for a while.
Kevin Owens shows up to stop them, but Zayn tells him to mind his own business. This brought out Adam Pierce and some security personnel, but Blood refused to leave peacefully. Owens tried to get into the ring and take out his heels, but was knocked out himself.
The RAW locker room was empty as superstars rushed out to stop the madness. When the Bloodline finally retreated, Adam Pearce announced that members of the faction would have to race later in the show.
It’s a good start for the show’s first episode of 2023. Bloodlines dominated SmackDown for most of last year. It makes sense for them to come out on RAW and try to take over.
Sikoa was scheduled to take on Elias in Music City Street Fight, while Sami Zayn and The Usos took on Kevin Owens and The Street Profits later in the show.
#4. Alexa Bliss finally succumbs to the dark side
bianca bellaire On this week’s episode, she defends the RAW Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss. EST took control of the game early on and took down Bliss in a big way.
The challenger responded with hard blows and lobs, knocking out the champion. EST showed off her power by hitting a nice vertical suplex before sending Bliss into the turnbuckle.
The two women continue to fight before Bliss spots a fan in the crowd wearing an Uncle Howdy mask. Not long after, Bray Wyatt’s Firefly logo flashed on the big screen, Alexa Bliss crazy. She attacked the referee before unloading Bel-Air.
Bliss sent the champion off the field and used DDT on the steel steps. The game was called off and Belair was kicked off for Bliss’ actions.
Glad to see Little Miss Bliss finally changing their minds about RAW. The story played out for a while, but it finally happened in this year’s first episode. It will be interesting to see what role Bliss plays in the relationship between Wyatt and Uncle Howie.
#3. Solo Sikoa beats Elias in a street fight
There was a music city street fight between Solo Sikoa with Elias on WWE RAW. The latter got off to a strong start and hit some big moves that put Sikoa at a disadvantage. Elias went on the attack and nearly took out his opponent with the guitar.
The two battled it out on stage, with Solo taking the upper hand. He went on to beat The Drifter and sent him into some of the instruments around. Elias Hit Solo with the keyboard, but get knocked out by Samoan Drop.
The Enforcer controlled the match from then on, even after musician Hardy tried to help Elias by handing him a guitar. Hardy escapes before Sikoa catches Elias with a Samoan Spike. He added insult to injury by hitting a Spinning Solo on top of a ringside piano before claiming victory.
The match was very interesting as Elias had to put Solo at a disadvantage for a while. Both perform well, as the enforcers have to fight to win. The Drifters are expected to pick up some wins and better bookings soon.
#2. The Bloodline Takes Victory on WWE RAW
Kevin Owens and The Street Profits are trying to take down The Bloodline on this week’s WWE RAW. The two teams quarreled before the start of the game, and The Bloodline took control after the opening bell.
The heels isolated Angelo Dawkins for a while before Owens tagged and cleared the ring. Bloodline still prevailed over The Prizefighter and punished him in their corner.
Owens tagged Montez Ford, who went on and almost won by knockout Sammy Zane. He made some big dives and took out The Bloodline before Solo Sikoa took a few sneak attacks.
Owens caught up to Solo, but the distraction allowed Zane to hit Ford’s Helluva Kick for the win. After the match, The Bloodline defeated babyfaces to prove it.
Sheamus and Drew McIntyre stepped out of the crowd to let The Bloodline run to the end of the segment. The game was well paced with a couple of good spots.
Bloodline needs a victory before defending Sheamus and McIntyre. That will give them the momentum they need to successfully defend their title against Sheamus and McIntyre on Friday.
#1. Austin Theory and Seth Rollins have another great match on WWE RAW
Seth Rollins challenged Austin theory Won the United States Championship in the main event of WWE RAW. Visionary took control of the game and made some big moves to put his young opponent at a disadvantage.
Rollins Tried to top rope but Theory fought back and it looked like The Visionary had hurt his knee. Unidentified men reversed a buckle bomb before seizing a Falcon Arrow from a veteran. Rollins kicked a vertical suplex but missed a trample on the champion.
Theory tried to flee the arena, but Seth caught up to him and brought him back into the ring. He hit a Superkick and a Frog Splash and nearly fell. Rollins hit another pedigree closer to the fall and was starting to get frustrated.
With the umpires distracted, Theory hit a low ball and took out Rollins’ injured knee before securing the win with the A-Town Down.
The two superstars put on another great match, showing fans that they work well together. Many fans wanted to see Rollins win, but keeping Theory in the title was the right thing to do. He’ll likely enjoy a long reign that could see him face some big names on the show.
