Joe Biden is finally going to visit the southern border next week.
The visit coincided with an international conference in Mexico City.
It was unclear which part of the border he would visit.

Joe Biden to visit US-Mexico border next week
President Joe Biden will visit the U.S.-Mexico border next week, nearly two years after he effectively opened it to millions of economic immigrants seeking jobs and taking a cut in pay.
“That’s my intention and we’re working out the details now,” Biden told reporters in Kentucky alongside Republican Senate leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky).
The location of the visit was not disclosed. But it was scheduled to take place during an international conference in Mexico City, where Biden will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
Biden has distanced himself from border flooding by dodging questions and delegating responsibility to Vice President Kamala Harris and his pro-immigration, Cuban-born Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas.
Since Biden took office in January 2021, he and his deputies have allowed some 3.5 million economic migrants to cross the southern border, including more than 1 million “runaways” who sneak past the few border guards who remain at the border. The flow of people into the U.S. is 14 times the number allowed in the final year of Donald Trump’s presidency — helping at least 100 million Americans cut wages and raise rents.
The Southern inflow, excluding the massive influx of legal immigrants and visa workers, adds up to nearly one immigrant for every American who turns 18 in 2022.
