Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley had some pretty hilarious moments while covering NBA games for TNT. What happened earlier in the evening was a little more sensitive than usual, but it still didn’t stop Shaq’s infectious laugh from ringing out in the studio.
The chilling scene occurred when their conversation turned to Barkley’s grandson “Little Henry.” Kenny Smith, who mistook little Henry for nine, opened the hilarity floodgates with the following comment:

“Come on man, I’ll say, I know I’ll leave him alone, but I’ll say, ‘Lil’ Henry slow?’
Charles Barkley quickly replied:
“He’s only nine months old. Little Henry is not slow…don’t mess with him.”
Shaquille O’Neal barely held on as “Chuck” and Smith went back and forth. He’s already grinning from ear to ear, but somehow he manages to keep egging “Jet” on to repeat what he just said.
The hilarious exchange started when Ernie Johnson asked Charles Barkley how “little Henry” was doing. “Chuck” proudly tells everyone that he should be called “Big Pop,” but his grandson still can’t.
Instead, the baby called him “Dada,” which reportedly drove Buckley’s daughter Christiana crazy. The former Phoenix Suns MVP is willing to wait for his grandson to finally say “pandemic.”
Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal can almost be seen winking at each other as “Chuck” explains the incident. Smith finally worked up the courage to tell Barkley the joke, which sparked a whole hilarious exchange. He later realized that little Henry was not nine years old but nine months old.
While covering tonight’s NBA game, Shaq was emphasizing Barkley almost all night. Before the game between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks, ‘Sir Charles’ inadvertently scolded on national TV.
