Hillary Clinton Joins Columbia University as Global Affairs Professor, Presidential Fellow
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will join Columbia University as a professor in the School of International and Public Affairs and a Columbia World Project Presidential Fellow, Columbia University announced Thursday.
Clinton shared the university’s announcement on Twitter, “Columbia’s commitment to educating the next generation of policy leaders — and helping to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges — resonates personally with me.”
The former secretary of state, U.S. senator, first lady and first female president nominated by a major political party added that she was “delighted” to take up the roles starting on Feb. 1 next month.
She will begin interacting with students in the classroom during the 2023-24 school year.
“Hillary Clinton is unique in light of her extraordinary talents and abilities, her unique life experiences and, most importantly, what she can bring to the University’s research and teaching missions as well as public service and public interest engagement,” Columbia University President Lee Bollinger said in a letter to the school community.
Keren Yarhi-Milo, dean of Columbia University’s School of Global Affairs, said Clinton would help lead a “major” new effort “to bring together the best policy experts from around the world for intense debate and collaboration aimed at developing innovative policy solutions. “
Tucker Carlson made some excellent points about the news.
