Texas Gov. Greg Abbott hand-delivered a letter to President Biden on his first border visit in office, urging him to act as “America is suffering” from the current illegal immigration crisis.
The scathing letter outlined a series of actions Biden must take to calm the crisis.
Abbott wrote that a crisis “is happening because you violated your constitutional duty to protect the states from invasion…”
In the first sentence of the letter, Abbott declared that Biden’s visit was “$20 billion short and two years late.”

Governor Greg Abbott noted in his letter to Biden that under the previous administration, the problem of illegal immigration had been significantly curbed.
But in the past two years, things have changed. What could it be?
“By contrast, under your watch, America is suffering the worst rate of illegal immigration in the history of our country,” Abbott insisted.
He also addressed the humanitarian and drug aspects of the crisis, saying the president’s open border policy “emboldened the cartels” and led to an increase in fentanyl and human trafficking, often killing Texans.

Would a strongly worded letter change anything?
Similar to sending illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities, I still don’t believe the “strongly worded letter” approach will convince Biden to resolve the border crisis.
Of course, it’s good to draw attention to this, but it’s not like the whole of America is unaware that there’s been an invasion on the southern border at this point.
Rather than bus them to other cities in the U.S., send them directly to Mexico.
Instead of a letter to the President, he used to or cannot Read, maybe the National Guard presence could be bolstered to protect the border.
Texas has the largest National Guard in the country, 21,000 soldiers. Of course, the purpose of the National Guard is to defend the country.
