Now that the House of Representatives has created a committee to investigate the weaponization of the government, one seems particularly concerned.
Adam Schiff betrayed his panic by saying out loud what a terrible idea it was.
Why do you think he cares so much about this?
From U.S. News & World Report:
trend: History in the Making: New California Holds 10th Constitutional Convention
Democrats denounced the subcommittee as the result of last week’s deadlock in the speaker’s vote, which gave a group of far-right critics significant power to wield significant power in the new House Republican majority in exchange for their support or neutral.
“Today, we demonstrated the first of their many demands – an open-ended investigation into any conspiracy theory that might currently be making headlines in a right-wing echo chamber, with unfettered powers to undermine ongoing criminal and intelligence investigations,” Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York spoke about the influence of hard-line conservatives on the conference.
Also, Democrats insisted on Tuesday that Republicans will use the panel to try to halt ongoing investigations into their own “wrongdoing,” perhaps a nod to Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Scott Perry, who Expressed interest in becoming a member of the committee despite being the subject of a Jan. 6 Justice Department investigation into an early 2021 Capitol insurrection.
Rep. Dan Goldman of New York said the panel’s main purpose was “to interfere with the ongoing select committee investigation into a conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election,” while Rep. Adam Schiff of California — now defunct in January 6 members of the committee – said the panel aimed to “undermine the legitimate investigation” into President Trump’s incitement to a violent attack on the Capitol.

Schiff: The last time Republicans were in charge of the House, McCarthy pushed for another bogus special committee, the Benghazi issue. He did it because he admitted to tearing down Hillary Clinton’s approval ratings. Now he’s at it again. pic.twitter.com/aN68pcgbgF

What is Adam afraid of?
Would he worry that his corrupt antics would be exposed?
