A new “church council” is in the works with Liberal Representative Thomas Massey (R-KY), raising questions about what that might mean.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson suggested that in order for Kevin McCarthy to become Speaker of the House, he would have to make two concessions — release all 6 January document, and appointed Massey to lead a “Frank Church Commission” to study the FBI.
Shortly thereafter, the committee was announced, and Massey told Carlson the news, suggesting he might be “clairvoyant.”
The original church committee was Established in 1975 Research abuses by various intelligence agencies, including the FBI, CIA, and IRS. A revelation that most Americans today are unaware of, some of the worst crimes revealed in the history of our nation.
“I don’t know if you have clairvoyance or just make the future a reality, but it’s happening,” Massie revealed.
He vowed that this new version of the commission would go after any “three-letter agency” whose members believed it violated the constitutional rights of Americans, and that they “obtained any assurances that could lead us on the evidence.”
Rep. Thomas Massey acknowledged Tucker Carlson played a role in McCarthy’s concession. This week, Carlson has been pushing for a Frank church-like committee led by Massey.

Church council ponders ‘total tyranny’
Shortly thereafter, a clip from the late Senator Frank Church’s 1975 NBC “Meet the Press” committee discussion resurfaced.
A segment that sends shivers down every American’s spine.
Senator Church is discussing the ability of the intelligence community to take advantage of certain technological advances to monitor information and use such technology against the American people.
Remember, this was 1975, long before social media and big tech companies like Twitter and Facebook, the ubiquitous internet or cell phones.
He warned: “The technical capabilities that the intelligence community has empowered the government could enable it to enforce total tyranny with no way to fight back.”
Senator Church later added that there was “nowhere to hide”.
Ironically, nowhere to hide is titled by Glenn Greenwald This book is about Edward Snowden and the unprecedented revelations about the power, ability and willingness of the US government to spy on innocent Americans.
Snowden’s revelations came in 2013 – 38 years after Senator Church’s warning.

cia member embedded in media
In another video posted by Blaze Media CEO Tyler Cardon, Church asked then-CIA director William Colby if the agency had any paid actors to work in the media.
“Do you have anyone employed by the CIA working for the TV network?” Church asked.

investigative reporter carl bernstein written in 1977 “The use of journalists has been one of the most effective intelligence-gathering tools employed by the CIA.”
“The CIA’s use of the U.S. news media is far more extensive than agency officials have admitted publicly or in private meetings with members of Congress,” he added, noting the agency’s communications with The New York Times, CBS and TIME Links between weekly magazines.
Readers may know that this program was revealed by a church committee under the umbrella of Operation MOCKINGBIRD. (Fake news is not a new phenomenon, folks!)
If it was possible for the CIA to use technology to spy on Americans in 1975 and then have individuals embed in corporate media, is it any surprise that the “Twitter files” don’t show any significant waning of its influence?

With revelations of Twitter censoring Americans at the behest of the CIA and FBI, stories involving Hunter Biden’s laptop, and COVID information, Church’s comments became more prophetic than alarmist.
