ONE champion icon aung la n sang Great to have the opportunity to get back in the circle this Friday night.
The former two-division world champion will head to the Impact Arena in Bangkok to help the promotion kick off its 2023 schedule ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.
‘The Burmese Python’, which airs exclusively on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service in North America, will seek its second straight victory over the returning Brazilian veteran Gilberto Galvo.
Originally, Ang La was scheduled to face Fan Rong at the event, but a last-minute change made the Burmese superstar meet a completely different opponent.
In an interview with the South China Morning Post, Ang La realized that Galvao would present a different challenge, but was still excited to play in front of the rowdy crowd in Thailand:
“Yes, it’s a normal weight, I know they’re different in style. Fan Rong and Gilberto Galvao, very different in style, but that’s okay. We prepared for everyone and I’m glad we had a match .”

When Aung La N Sang steps into the circle on Friday night, he will be with a heavy heart following the news of the death of 18-year-old prodigy Victoria Lee.
The entire MMA community is still reeling from the sudden loss of one of the industry’s brightest prospects. In a conversation with South China Morning Post MMA, “The Burmese Python” shared his thoughts on the tragic loss, saying:
“Yes, my heart breaks for Ken [Lee’s father]. As a man with a two year old daughter, I know how you relate to your daughter. Fathers and daughters are like no love to have and it hurts me, just thinking about it hurts, you know? “
Anla continued:
“I met Victoria a year ago and she was so sweet, like the whole family, you know? But this one was like, it was hard to take. I couldn’t believe it. When I read this, I Had to re-read and re-read, I just feel bad for the whole family. Condolences to the Lee family. I can’t even put it into words.”
