A Republican in the House of Representatives will form a new caucus to address the nationwide “awakening,” which is “the greatest domestic threat facing America today,” he said.
Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., announced Friday that he will create the “first-ever anti-awakening caucus” to fight politically correct groups, which he says have formed a “tyranny,” is being passed through “indoctrination.
“The most poisonous part of this tyranny is its teaching – ‘saneness’,” he added.
So he’s taking action: “This Congress, I’m creating the first-ever Anti-Awakening Caucus.”
“Arousal is especially pervasive and dangerous in colleges and elementary schools, where the left sees students as the most vulnerable and useful targets for indoctrination,” Banks wrote in an op-ed titled “Combating the Enlightenment Agenda in Congress.”
In the op-ed, he details what he believes the United States and Congress must do to withdraw its standards and practices from those who seek to obliterate them.
“It would be laughable if this utterly un-American doctrine wasn’t that powerful. It’s powerful because it’s not just enforced by every major state agency. It’s driven and funded by the federal government itself,” he said .
