Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has returned to training after a long absence due to mental and physical health issues.
Sancho’s final appearance for the Red Devils came on October 22 in a 1-1 Premier League draw against Chelsea. He missed games against Aston Villa, Fulham and Real Sociedad due to injury problems.
The former Borussia Dortmund man was also snubbed by Gareth Southgate in England’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
While United’s season resumes after the 2022 FIFA World Cup break, Sancho remains sidelined. He trained with Dutch coaches in the Netherlands under the tutelage of Erik ten Haag.

The United boss told the media last month that he was unsure of a return date for Sancho. Ten Witches says (via The Guardian):
“I’ve talked to Jaden a few times, he’s working out, and our goal is to get him back as soon as possible, but I can’t predict when he’ll be back.”
Since his huge sum (£73m) from dortmund football club Sancho struggled to find a foothold for the Red Devils last summer. In 52 appearances for Manchester United, he scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists.
Sancho played 14 times for the team in this campaign, scoring 3 goals and assisting 1 time.
Speaking of the young man’s impact on the team, ten witches last month said:
“When the league started, he played some good games, but after our level dropped, sometimes you don’t know why or what caused it. Most of the time it comes slowly. First you watch, but the statistics Support it.”
Danny Murphy tells Jadon Sancho to follow in footsteps of Manchester United youngster Alejandro Ganacho
Alejandro Garncacho Manchester United2-1 victory over Manchester City in the derby on January 15.Former England midfielder Danny Murphy has been informed of £73m signing Sancho follow suit.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Murphy said:
“Alejandro Ganaccio’s performance [in the 2-1 win over Manchester City ] On such a big stage… [he] When he’s on the field, it’s a revelation. “
Murphy added:
“Not many 18-year-olds have the maturity and fearlessness to deal with this situation. If I were Sancho, I would see him and Manchester United as motivation.”
However, Murphy believes that Ten Witches will still give Sancho a chance to make a comeback. He said:
“I will not write to him— [Sancho] As Ten Witches seems to be the kind of manager who will give him a chance, it appears Sancho’s problems are physical rather than ability. With the right mindset, he can be ready to help the team. “
Manchester United will travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on January 18.
