Prayers for Peyton Hillis answered!
The former NFL running back has been hospitalized since Jan. 5 after helping save six lives in Pensacola, Florida. Hillis is on life support and is at high risk of permanent damage to his kidneys and lungs following the incident. But thankfully, he has recovered and is on his way out of the hospital. Hillis’ girlfriend posted an update on his health on social media, writing:
“God is so good! Peyton has been released from the hospital. My love and gratitude for the incredible team who took care of Peyton is indescribable. Nowhere does this picture come close to the number of people who have been so cared for him. “
She also expressed her gratitude to the hospital staff, writing:
“To the Baptist Hospital of Pensacola: Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know I might tell you 20 times a day, but you are incredible. You all work like a perfect machine, every single one All very kind, attentive, calm and caring. Not only did you save Payton’s life, but you prioritized in your busy schedule making sure his family and I were well. You were all calm and kind enough to answer every question countless times …and, heck, even take care of me and make sure I’m okay every night: make me hot tea for my throat, make sure I sleep and eat, give me a friend to confide in… I mean, I Just in AWE.”
