A new week starts with Danger! Season 39 will air a new episode on Monday, January 23, 2023, featuring two-day winner Troy Meyer.
True to the show’s format, he returned to the show to defend his victory over two new players — Anne Faircross, a farmer from Clinton, N.C., and Duncan Bowling, an ICU nurse manager from Washington, D.C.
The game show’s official synopsis reads:
“One returning champion and two challengers tested their buzzer-beater skills and knowledge across a wide range of academic and popular categories.”
Troy, a music executive from Tampa, Fla., won both contests for a total of $62,600. In the latest episode, he returns for his third fight.

Categories for the first round included “city name change, Oscar-winning formula, drugs, ‘side effects,’ chess pain, boating after dinner.”
Troy played very well in the first round, not only did he find the first Daily Double, but he also gave zero wrong answers. With 17 correct answers, Troy took the lead in the first round and won $13,600. Compared to third place finisher Anne Faircloth, Duncan Bowling’s game was commendable. The latter took a lot of effort to get the annunciator, and could only try eight questions, five of which were correct and three were wrong. She scored -$400, while Duncan came in second with a score of $5,200.
In the second round, the categories were “Afghanistan and Pakistan, Novelty Now, Potent ‘P’otables, TV Connectors, Words of Peace, Hey…where have you been?”

Losing one of them didn’t affect Troy’s place on the scoreboard, as he topped the list with $32,000 in points. Duncan played well and won $13,600 in the second round. Anne is still struggling and can only try two questions this round. Unfortunately, one of the answers she gave was wrong, and she ended up getting $0 points. According to the rules of the program, Anne did not advance to the finals.
With Annie disqualified, Duncan and Troy engage in a final jeopardy bout. Both contestants gave the correct answer to the final question. With Troy already ahead, the final score didn’t affect the scoreboard.
