A Richmond High School teacher has been brutally beaten online after he wrestled a student to the ground and pushed him out of the classroom. Educators are no longer employed by the agency. The incident is currently being investigated by the West Contra Costa Unified School District.
Video of the altercation was filmed on Monday, January 23. In the video that went viral, the teacher at the Richmond school can be heard yelling in the child’s face: “Say that again.” Some social media users claimed that school staff took extreme action after students called him the N-word . Immediately afterwards, the two had a fierce confrontation.
The Richmond High School teacher can be seen restraining himself with his arms behind his back. However, as he and the students continued to argue, educators at Richmond High suddenly grabbed the teen by the clothes and shoved him to the ground. Hearing fellow students gasp in shock and try to extricate themselves from the situation. The teacher then grabbed the student again and pushed him into the hallway. The educator went on to say:
“Get out of my class.”
As of this writing, officials have not confirmed that the student used a racial slur against the Richmond High School teacher. It was also not confirmed whether the student was injured or disciplined.
Students documented the standoff from multiple angles and uploaded to social media as they whipped out their phones to document the shocking encounter School.

Students protest teacher ousted after altercation
Lorenzo Morotti, journalist teacher At school, students were identified as protesting and walking out of the classroom before fifth period. They held up leaflets that read:
“We tried racism. We were fed up. What he did was not right, but neither was what the child did.”

Bay Area newsgroup gets statement from black man at school students alliance. They announced that both teachers and students should be expelled from the school for their actions. they said:
“Even though the eyes of the teachers were on him because he was an adult and should have been handled differently, in the end they were all disrespectful and either guy could have walked away. But … a non-black person saying this The hateful words are wrong and he should be held accountable for his actions. Not only the teacher will be expelled, but the students will also be expelled.”
The West Contra Costa Unified School District has since announced it is investigating the incident. They also announced that “the district has acted swiftly” and the teacher involved has been fired.
