Speaker McCarthy roughs up reporter who complained about Schiff, Swalwell fired from Intel board

I sincerely hope you hear a lot from me: give it credit!

I don’t believe Kevin McCarthy could have thrown him any further because I’m very strong so only about 7-8 yards but it’s important to not only attack politicians when they’re wrong but praise them when they’re wrong ‘That’s right.

For some reason, eminent economist James Buchanan his theory of public choicewhich basically shows that, like all people, politicians return pursue their self-interest.Common sense for most people, but still important and is largely ignored on the right.

If you want politicians to get their way, you need carrots and stick.Those of us who are more mentally strong think this is operant conditioning.

Regardless, Speaker McCarthy deserves credit for not only sparing Russiagate conspiracy theorists from the House Intelligence Committee, but perhaps more importantly, for completely destroying an idiot reporter trying to complain about it.

mccarthy let them have it

Thankfully, Speaker McCarthy appears to have taken a lesson from Trump’s playbook — namely, that mainstream “reporters” are not journalists but apparent stenographers for the DNC and Langley. They are not well-intentioned actors, they are just looking out for the people.

Quite the contrary, I’m afraid.

That said: In a showdown with a reporter, in which he of course tried to “how” by asking Republican George Santos, who seemed more impressive than Frank Abignall Jr., McCarthy was asked:

“Because you have direct power over who gets into the intelligence committee and you also… (unintelligible) you say lying to us means you should be removed from the intelligence committee why not….. .(some incomprehensible thing about George Santos…” murmured the reporter.

You can see that McCarthy just got ready, replied that Santos was picked by his district, and then cut off again.

That’s when the new Speaker interjected: “Let me be very clear about respecting you. You asked me a question. When I answer it, it’s the answer to your question. You don’t have to make sure I answer your question.” , okay? In every way. Thank you.”

Amid chants from other reporters, McCarthy continued:

“No no no, let’s answer her question. You just raised a question and I’m going to make it clear to you. The Intel board is different. You know why? Because of what happened with the Intel board, you have no idea. What’s going on in the Intel committee, what’s going on in the world is a secret that other members of Congress don’t know. What did Adam Schiff do as chair of the Intel Council? What Adam Schiff did was use his power as Chairman to lie to the American public, even the Inspector General. “

He continued, “When (former Rep.) Devin Nunes released a memo, he said it was fake. When we had a laptop (Hunter Biden’s laptop) , he used it for politics before the election and said it was fake, and said it was Russian, when he knew it was different. When he knew intelligence.”

“When you talk to John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, he comes out ahead of time and says there’s no intelligence to back it up. He (Schiff) took advantage of his chairmanship knowing he had information that the rest of the United States didn’t have, And lied to the American public,” McCarthy noted.

It only gets better from there. There are other points that McCarthy makes, but you have to pay attention because Political Insider is a small independent outlet and they don’t have staff to translate.

a new day? New Republican?

As I mentioned before, McCarthy deserves commend For just pinning fake news with two buckets. If you want him (and others) to continue this behavior, praise them. Show them some positive reinforcement.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a cynic. I don’t believe for a second that McCarthy and his GOP will actually deliver on more concrete promises. But that’s for another day.

On this day, when a politician not named Donald Trump or Ron Paul actually does the right thing, I celebrate.

I suggest you do the same. That is, if you want to see more of this stuff.
