After adding Rui Hachimura, a trade appears to be on the way for the Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles made a smart trade, sending Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks to the Washington Wizards on Monday. Los Angeles needed a wing, and they got it.
Now, the Lakers are expected to go after a veteran point guard. There are a few on the market, and there’s a good chance there will be more during the buyout market.
Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report reports that the Lakers may still seek a small deal after bringing in Rui Hachimura:
“After acquiring Rui Hachimura from the Wizards on Monday, the Lakers can still find small deals around guards Lonnie Walker IV and Patrick Beverley.”
He then added who the Lakers might be interested in, including utah jazz the guard Mike Conley.
“Conley’s contract is good, with $14.3 million of the $24.4 million next season guaranteed. Same (real or wanted) contenders are believed to be interested, including: Lakers, Clippers and Timberwolves,” Pincus wrote.

“A compromise could include a draft pick swap, with Houston using the Milwaukee Bucks’ first (projected No. 25 pick) it got from the 2021 PJ Tucker trade. The Rockets risk diminishing returns, but Gordon seems likely in Deadline to process. Interested teams include Suns, Lakers and Bucks.”
Will the Los Angeles Lakers trade put them on top? Maybe not yet. However, with healthy and correct supplementation, LeBron James and anthony davis Can be scarier than any other duo in basketball. There’s a reason the two of them won the NBA title together, and seeing them do it again isn’t out of the question.
The Lakers will have to make the right decision, as they did with Rui Hachimura’s move. Let’s see what general manager Rob Pelinka has come up with as the Lakers look to reemerge as title contenders.
